Peerlyft – Consultant Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation as a Consultant (“You”, “Your”) on the Peerlyft platform (“Platform”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”). By registering as a Consultant and accepting bookings from Mentees, You agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
1. Scope of Service
1.1. As a Consultant, You agree to provide a one-hour (60-minute) one-on-one consultantship session (“Session”) to the Mentee assigned to You and to provide seven (7) days of post-session chat support limited to clarifications or follow-ups related to topics discussed during the Session.
1.2. The chat window shall expire automatically after seven (7) days from the scheduled session time, irrespective of whether the Mentee initiates communication.
1.3. You must respond to Mentee messages within 24 hours, unless the query is unrelated to the Session, in which case You must immediately report the matter to Your Peerlyft Single Point of Contact (“SPOC”).
2. Conduct During the Session
2.1. You must keep Your video on at all times during the Session with Your face clearly visible.
2.2. You are required to maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanour.
2.3. You must provide reasonable additional time to the Mentee, if required, to compensate for connectivity issues, thinking pauses, or brief research periods.
2.4. You are expected to deliver the Session in good faith and with full engagement (“Service completion without impairment”).
3. Authenticity and Representation
3.1. Only the Consultant whose name is registered on the Platform may conduct the Session. Representation by or substitution with any third party is strictly prohibited.
3.2. Any breach of this clause authorizes Peerlyft to take immediate action, including:
3.3. If an unregistered participant joins on the Mentee’s behalf, You must end the Session immediately and report the incident to Your Peerlyft SPOC.
4. Session Scheduling and Rescheduling
4.1. You may request to reschedule a Session once, provided You give a minimum of 24 hours’ prior notice.
4.2. Additional rescheduling requests are subject to the Mentee’s sole discretion.
4.3. Mentees are entitled to one complimentary reschedule per Session; accepting further reschedules is at Your discretion.
4.4. If a Mentee terminates the Session early, you will still be entitled to full compensation, unless it is a case of the session not delivered in good faith and with full engagement
5. Payouts
5.1. Consultants are paid an in-hand payout of INR 1,250 per successful session completion
5.2. Payouts will be processed within forty-eight (48) hours of completion of the seven (7) day post-Session chat window, provided:
5.3. Peerlyft reserves the right to withhold or delay payments where there is evidence or suspicion of non-compliance, quality breach, or policy violation.
5.4. All payouts will be made to the payment mode registered on the Platform
6. Tax and Invoicing
6.1. You acknowledge that You are an independent service provider, not an employee, agent, or representative of Peerlyft.
6.2. You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable tax obligations under Indian law, including but not limited to GST, TDS, and income tax liabilities arising from payments received through the Platform.
6.3. Peerlyft may deduct TDS at the applicable rate and remit the same to the government, issuing the corresponding TDS certificate.
6.4. Any TDS liability arising due to statutory thresholds being crossed shall be recovered from future payouts or shall be reimbursed by the consultant even after cessation of services.
6.5. You shall provide valid tax invoices to Peerlyft, if required, for accounting and statutory compliance.
7. Recording and Privacy
7.1. You may, at Your sole discretion, permit the Mentee to record the Session for personal reference only.
7.2. Unauthorized recording by the Mentee entitles You to terminate the call immediately and report the incident to Peerlyft.
7.3. You shall not record, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Session or chat content without both Peerlyft’s written approval and the Mentee’s explicit consent.
8. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure
8.1. During the course of Sessions, You may receive access to personal, academic, or professional information of the Mentee or to proprietary data of Peerlyft (“Confidential Information”).
8.2. You agree to treat all such information as strictly confidential and not to disclose, reproduce, or use it for any purpose other than providing consultancy under these Terms.
8.3. This obligation of confidentiality shall survive the termination of Your engagement with Peerlyft.
8.4. You shall not contact, solicit, or offer off-platform services to any Mentee using Peerlyft data or channels.
8.5. Any breach of this clause shall entitle Peerlyft to pursue legal remedies, injunctive relief, and damages.
9. Acceptance and Agenda
9.1. You are expected to accept bookings only when confident of providing relevant, high-quality guidance aligned with the Mentee’s defined agenda.
9.2. Discussion beyond the stated agenda is permitted at Your discretion, provided it remains constructive and professional.
9.3. Peerlyft reserves the right to review Session quality and Mentee feedback periodically.
10. No-Tolerance Policy
The following constitute serious breaches and will result in immediate blacklisting and forfeiture of all pending payouts:
11. Grievances and Communication
11.1. All grievances, disputes, or concerns must be reported in writing to complaints@peerlyft.com within 48 hours of the issue.
11.2. Peerlyft shall assess each matter in good faith, and its decision will be final and binding.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1. Peerlyft acts solely as a facilitator connecting Consultants and Mentees. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from Sessions.
12.2. Under no circumstances shall Peerlyft, its affiliates, or employees be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Your participation as a Consultant.
12.3. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peerlyft and its representatives from any claims arising out of Your conduct, statements, or advice during the Sessions.
13. Modification and Jurisdiction
13.1. Peerlyft reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice.
13.2. Continued use of the Platform following such changes constitutes Your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13.3. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurugram, Haryana, India.
